Cuteness Series began with an exploration of the many facets of cuteness, inspired by the Cute exhibition at Somerset House, London.
Drawing from the exhibition’s thematic structure, I reinterpreted it into my own five keywords—harmless, disguisable, creepy, worship, and nostalgic—and created animations exploring the role of cuteness embedded in everyday life. Five physical objects, each appearing in the animations, are displayed alongside them. Serving as metaphors, these objects bridge the storyworld of the animation and the viewer’s own reality.
